Weatherproof Halloween Fun at Cogges Manor Farm this October half-term

Halloween is always a firm favourite at Cogges Manor Farm. All of our activities and experiences are housed in our 13th century Manor House and our two large Victorian Barns, making it a completely weatherproof destination and the perfect place for some half-term Halloween excitement.

All of our Halloween activities are perfect for families with the right balance of spooky, entertaining and fun.

Welcome to Dracula's Castle

The Manor House is mystically transforming into the home of the most famous Vampire in history - Dracula. Step inside his castle and enjoy an immersive experience as you journey from room to room, experiencing the daily life of the charismatic count and meeting some of his friends along the way. It's a spooktacular and entertaining experience - perfect for all the family.

Bounce, Boogie, Craft & more in the Cogges Halloween Fun Barns

The monster mash will be in full flow at the Halloween Disco in our Barley Barn. Kids can head in there at any point during their visit and boogie away with their friends.

Next door in the larger Wheat Barn is a Halloween themed Bouncy Castle, some fun Spooky Craft to get stuck into and a Vampire Dressing Up Corner and Selfie Station.

Face Painting! On Halloween Weekend, Fri 30th, Sat 31st and Sunday 1st Nov we are welcoming professional Face Painter Colour Splash by Claire to the Halloween Fun Barn. Claire can offer a range of fun and spooky face painting designs including Dracula, as well as a touch of glitter! Come and meet her in the Wheat Barn from 10am-3pm.

Please note, the Bouncy Castle will be in operation from Saturday 24th October - Sunday 1st November and is included in the entry price. Face Painting is charged separately.

Refuel in the Scary Dairy Snack Station or the Cosy Café

You'll find milkshakes and cupcakes for a quick refuel in the Scary Dairy next to Draculas Castle. Or head over to the Cosy Café for a wide range of delicious hot and cold food, a great choice for kids including pizzas, picnic bags and fun Halloween themed cakes, bakes and hot and cold drinks.

One Ticket for everything

We want your visit to Cogges to feel easy and for you to get the best value from your visit. There is just one entrance ticket to include all activities. There are no timed slots, just buy a ticket online, or on the day and enjoy all of our Halloween activities across the whole site from 10am-5pm.

Please Note:

• Our Halloween activities are aimed at children aged 3+.
• The Manor House/Dracula's Castle will be dimly lit, so please watch your step and take your time hold onto hand rails when climbing stairs.
• The downstairs of the house is accessible with ramps, but due to the age of the house, the upstairs isn't.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Dogs on short leads are welcome at Cogges Manor Farm, but only assistance dogs can enter the Manor House.
• All activities, except the Bouncy Castle will be available from 10am on Thursday 22nd October. The Bouncy Castle will be available from 10am on Saturday 24th October.
• Face painting is available on Halloween Weekend Fri 30th October - Sunday 1st November from 10am-3pm and is charged separately.
• Your entry ticket doesn't include food or drink in our Café or Scary Dairy Snack Station.

Join our heritage crafts expert Anne Pounds for this wonderful day learning the endangered art of Canal Art where you will decorate a vintage horseshoe. This is a beautiful art form that you will have seen on the side of narrow boats and can be applied to a range of items to breathe new life into them and give your home a cheerful new accessory. The workshop will take place in the cosy kitchen of the historic 13th Century Manor House.

Join Straw Craft expert Anne Pounds at the wonderful setting of Cogges Manor Farm and learn the ancient heritage craft of Straw Craft.

In this half day workshop you will learn to make a beautiful Straw Angel - perfect for Christmas as a decoration or gift and if there is time, Anne can also teach you to make a heart decoration too.

This will be a lovely, relaxed session with tea and biscuits and a chance to try your hand at a craft that has sadly been placed on the Heritage Crafts red list of endangered crafts.

Get into the festive spirit at the Marriotts Walk Christmas Market, returning from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 November. Discover a wonderful selection of festive gifts, artisan crafts, seasonal treats and unique stocking fillers from local makers and independent traders.

As you browse the market, soak up the Christmas atmosphere with twinkling decorations, delicious food and drink, and plenty of festive cheer for all ages. Whether you’re searching for the perfect present, treating yourself to something special, or simply enjoying a day out with family and friends, the Christmas Market is the perfect place to start your festive shopping.

Free to park & attend, the market will be open throughout the four-day event, welcoming visitors from across Witney and beyond.

In the town's Market Square, running from late afternoon (around 4:00 PM/4:30 PM) with the official switch-on happening at 6:00 PM, kicking off the festive season with lights, craft stalls, fair ground rides and community spirit, supported by the Town Council and Rotary Club.

Free Christmas Craft Fair for local children.

Kick off the Christmas cheer by making your very own Christmas Wreath at Cogges Manor Farm.

We are running 2 x sessions on Wednesday 2nd December:

• 10am-12.30pm
• 1.30pm-4pm

This will be a lovely relaxed experience run by Oxfordshire florist and tutor, Sandra who will guide you to construct a beautiful and sustainable wreath using a mixture of seasonal foliage, natural decorations, and materials.

The workshops will take place in one of our barns, which will be full of festive cheer and once your wreath is made, you can enjoy a mince pie and a mulled wine to celebrate!

Get ready for a night of live music, community spirit, and festive cheer at The Corn Exchange, Witney, on Saturday 12th December.

Showcasing an exciting mix of local talent, featuring performances from the Witney Vocals choir, Witney Guitar Club, and guests,

the evening will round off with a Christmas sing-along led by all the performers, and the audience becomes the choir! – everyone is invited to join in and make it a night to remember!

The bar opens at 6.30pm, with entertainment starting at 7.00pm.
